The Stockholm Criminology Symposium 2025

Nearly 60 panel discussions with around 180 speakers will present their research. This is what this year’s visitors can look forward to during three event-packed days in June. In addition, the award ceremony for this year’s winner of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology will take place.

The Stockholm Criminology Symposium annually attracts around 500 participants from across the globe – researchers, policymakers, and practitioners eager to learn from the latest and most significant research findings in criminal policy and criminology.

The symposium also hosts the award ceremony for the winner of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology – an international award recognizing outstanding achievements in criminological research or the practical application of research findings in crime prevention and the promotion of human rights.

The 2025 Stockholm Prize in Criminology is awarded to Bryan Stevenson and Frances Cook.

The symposium is organized by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå) on behalf of the Swedish government.
